DJ FORREST

Let it be known....
IN THE MIX SINCE 1994, Forrest been instrumental in creating an alternative to mainstream dance music in the Hawaiian Islands, keeping the scene fresh in Maui with his high energy and funky sets under the stars. Fusing a blend of funky progressive house, deep tribal, to trance, Forrest has been keepin' it fresh in the island scene.
A drummer since Forrest was eight years old, he always has the ear for the right tunes and when to play them. He has played in the U.S. and Canada where he now lives.
Early in his rave days, Forrest and friends threw outdoor parties under the stars in Hawaii. He traveled inter-island playing parties and afterhours. During 98/99 Forrest was featured on a live 6-hour radio show on a popular Maui station called the Vinyl Lounge. He would frequently fly to Oahu and San Francisco to keep the music fresh and play parties.
Notable appearances include New Years Eve Millennium party playing with Carl Cox in Honolulu, opening for the Chemical Brothers at the Warfield S.F. with Alex Graham, and playing the main floor at Webster Hall, NYC.
Last summer Forrest played on MTV Canada. In 2001 Forrest was voted best club DJ by "Maui Time" readers; this was due to the success of a weekly party called the Green Room which he threw with promoter and fellow DJ -- Daniel J.
Dj'ing in Hawaii is a special feeling that not many people get to experience. Forrest has played with many out of town DJs including: Keoki, Mark Farina, John Howard, Taylor, DJ Dan, DJ Sneak, Dimitri from Deee-Lite, Mark Lewis, and The Wicked Crew from San Francisco. Of course there are too many other names to mention that traveled over the pacific to reach the shores of Maui.
Forrest feels only now that he's just getting started. Known for his seamless and smooth mixes, he feels the music and reaches out to the dance floor in the need of that extra Nst...Nst...Nst...Nst!
Forrest plays in Vancouver an on the Sunshine Coast and sometimes south of the border along the West Coast of USA.
